Salmon fillets
½ a Courgette
½ red, yellow and orange bell peppers, diced
1 butternut squash
1 aubergine
5 cloves of garlic
Sundried tomatoes
A table spoon of olives
black pepper
sea salt


Season salmon fillets with lemon pepper, garlic, salt, olive oil and soy sauce (optional)
Chop up the vegetables and put them in an oven dish and sprinkle salt, pepper, thyme rosemary and olive oil over them. Then place in the oven and gas mark 7 for 30 minutes.
Wrap Salmon in foil and place under the grill for 6-8 minutes each side
When the vegetables and salmon are cooked, plate up and add olives and sun dried tomatoes

The Natural & Organic Products Show is an exhibition that took place at the Olympia Grand in London over the past two days, 13th and 14th April. The Natural Food, Beauty & Spa, Natural Living & Natural Health Shows were altogether in one large hall and a wonderful selection of products were on display.  I only found out about this event at the last minute but I new it would be a great opportunity to meet the people behind innovative brands in the natural and organic sector as well as find out about fantastic product ranges.

There were so many items to sample but I only selected a few. At the first stand I visited, the slim noodles range had been cooked in a wok with vegetables and soya sauce. The gentleman at the booth offered me a small tray of noodles and I was surprised that the portion was only 2-3 calories and tasted utterly delicious. These noodles contain 94% less calories compared to traditional noodles and is gluten, fat and sugar free.
At the Aduna stand I was able to try Baobab powder and all the wonderful health benefits of this
fruit can be found here. The powder tastes a bit like sherbert and it can be added to a range of meals. 

Next was the refreshing and delicious taste of the award winning Qcumber, a gently sparking spring water made from you guessed it cucumbers and my final treat was a scrumptious white and strawberry chocolate piece which was sugar free from Free'ist Foods.

I also had a range of samples to take away with me such as peanut butter powder from Hale Naturals which contains 70% less fat than traditional peanut butter, no trans fats or hydrogenated oil and is high in protein and fibre.

In my next blog I will discuss some of the take away brochures and products that I got from the show in more detail.

I frequently buy an omelette sandwich for lunch from a place called Meal Deal which takes around 10 minutes to prepare. I find this simple sandwich quite tasty.

2 slices of brown bread
3 free range eggs
2 table spoons of olive oil
½ onion, diced
2-3 Mushrooms, diced
½ red bell pepper, diced
30g of cheese of choice (Optional)

Here is the first recipe which is a quick delicious Herbalife breakfast shake that I would like to share with you. I drink this delicious meal replacement every morning because it takes a couple of minutes to make before I leave for work or I can put it in a flask and consume it on the way there or whilst I'm at my office desk.

Recipe (228 Calories)

-Add 2 tablespoons (26g) of free from vanilla formula 1 shake (gluten free) to a glass/flask

-Add 250-300 mls of Rice Milk

-You can also use Soya, Cow's, Goat and Almond etc. I prefer using vanilla or the original rice milk.

-You can also throw everything into a blender and add fruits and nuts if you choose and there are plenty of recipes available.

The Food & Drink Expo took place at the NEC, Birmingham from 24-26th March. Have a look at this video channel to have a glimpse of the event which takes place every two years. This fantastic show had a large selection of food and drink suppliers gathered under one roof and I had the opportunity to visit a vast array of company stands such as Cook, Harpers Food, Tom’s Pies, Fuel 10k, Oakhouse Food, chunks pies, various cake companies and the list goes on. There were also lots of delicious food and drink samples on offer and if you get the chance to visit in two years time, I highly recommend going.
